TongueTie-websiteHeader.jpgThis first weekend incorporates an introductory day (for Diploma students) to allow for setting up systems for practice visits, peer reviews and taking case histories, palpatory exercises, introductions to meeting patients and examining babies, as well as meeting your mentors.

Conception and pregnancy commences an intimate relationship between the mother and child. Any influences upon these processes, may directly, or via the mother alter the child’s capacities and destiny.  Osteopaths need to understand these influences and relationships. Safe guarding and consent needs to be understood and carried out so all children in our care are protected.

Introductory Day

This day is designed for those who wish to take the complete Paediatric Osteopathy Diploma and contains invaluable information about the full content of this indepth programme of study. You will also be given guidance about the completion of all the distance learning elements of the Diploma.

The cost of the day is £200 non-residential or £289 for residential between this day and the Obstetrics weekend.

A current DBS certificate and Safeguarding of Children level 2 or above  (or equivalent from the country in which you reside and practice) is required; a copy of which should be supplied to our office.

What PODees have said...
"Claudia Knox gave me the lecture I had always wanted and hoped for on pregnancy. Her outstanding knowledge on the mechanical arrangements of the different organs, the lifestyle pregnant ladies lead and the physiological adaptation in a woman's life were incredibly valuable insights. Claudia's delivery was impeccable and I feel I got a much clearer idea on how to assist pregnant ladies. I think what was particularly valuable about this lecturer was her experience as a midwife of witnessing so many deliveries and being able to combine this with her osteopathic knowledge and skills."

"Excellent weekend which surpassed my expectations."

"Meeting everyone on the course and great tutors Safeguarding children was an eye opener. Thank you for including this. Fantastic having the perspective of a midwife/osteopath."
