This is a first port-of-call for some of the enquiries we regularly receive which we hope will save you time. If your enquiry isn’t addressed here or you think you have a question which should be here and would be useful for others to know too, then please contact us by completing the form below.

Am I eligible for an SCCO course?

We provide training (or other word) to qualified Osteopaths. We do not currently offer training to any other profession, we do occasionally provide a lecture where booking would be open to all. Each course offered states the individual Eligibility criteria at the top of the Course webpage, this has been set by the trustees of the college or for more advanced courses by the course directors. If you are unclear about eligibility for a course you wish to attend do email the office.

Can I book a single room at Hawkwood?

Hawkwood is a college with most rooms in dormitory style (3 beds per room), however there are a few singles available so if you require one then please book early! If no singles are available at Hawkwood and this is a requirement for you then we can provide details of local B&B’s. Many people book the course with a friend and request a room together, this is a great idea if possible so please let us know when you book.

When will I receive course information and timetable?

We try to provide course information and a timetable at least six weeks before the course. If you are booking travel arrangements we are always happy to help with the start and finish times of the actual course. If for some reason you do not receive your course information then do please call or email us. We are always happy to hear from you with any questions.

When will I receive my invoice?

Approximately six to eight weeks before the course. You can pay sooner if you wish but we ask the balance is settled at least four weeks prior to the start of the course.

I am a cranial osteopath, do you have any advice about how best to advertise my services?

All advertising for cranial osteopathy must comply with the Advertising Standards Association. Further details are available to download at this link.

What do I have to do to become a Member or Fellow of the SCCO?

Full information about how to become either a Member or a Fellow of the SCCO can be found at this link. If you would like to find out how much you have already done towards either Membership or Fellowship or would like any further information then do please email us or call on +44 (0)1453 767607

Can I make a cash payment in person at your office?

Unfortunately we are no longer able to accept cash payments. In general all monies should have been paid before the start of a course but for any last minutes items you are still very welcome to use a credit or debit card to settle any outstanding amounts.

How do I apply for discounts or bursaries?

If you pay a subscription to the SCCO and therefore qualify for a discount from short courses, there is no need to apply for this. We check all short course bookings when we receive them and apply any discounts automatically.

We do likewise for those who qualify for Module 2 bursaries. However, because there are a limited number of bursaries available per course, these are applied on a first-come-first-served basis so please feel free to check bursary availability with us before placing your booking.
