All the osteopaths featured in this book are recognised for their personal contribution to the profession. They have introduced osteopathy into their respective countries and have either created or led the schools. They invented techniques or treatment methodologies, and have written major works. They have also taught in several countries and have probably taught in your schools or at your osteopathy symposiums. It is therefore highly probable that you will have encountered many of these highly-respected osteopaths either in person or by repute.
We asked them questions that captivated us and their answers always eloquent, often surprising, and occasionally moving. They spoke to us about themselves; their hopes, their approaches – both osteopathic and human, their lives as men and women of this earth and we were more than charmed. We were enlightened by what they had to say.
Anne Canarelli, D.O. (Quebec) graduated from the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques de Montréal, Canada in 2011, she was awarded the A.T. Still thesis prize for her dissertation: Vitality, modes of expression and mechanisms of production, which explored the motor origins of the Primary Respiratory Mechanism (PRM).
