Rachel_Brooks_photo.jpg"The Power of Presence is the first in a series of courses designed to share the skills and knowledge that I have found to be most beneficial in my osteopathic practice. The key elements in the course are largely based on what I learned from Rollin Becker, DO, together with the understanding and experience I have gained in my many years of practice. These teachings can be integrated with your current approach to treatment—no matter what treatment techniques or approaches you use." — Rachel Brooks

old-woman_thinkstock_759.jpgAll trauma has an emotional component to it. In some of our patients it is the primary factor, and even in situations where it is not primary it can often be an obstacle to resolving the physical condition.

The practical sessions will use the skills presented in Rachel Brooks' earlier courses:

  • being present and establishing a balanced relationship between the physician and patient;
  • having an understanding of Stillness and how to use it;
  • and the use of active and compressive forces in treatment.

These skills will be reviewed in the course, but this course will be most beneficial to those who have attended a previous Rachel Brooks course.

Please note that it is not necessary to have completed The Power of Presence to attend this course.
